Me, a wide angle lens and a road....

playing in the traffic....

what used to be a tiny dribble of creek

This used to be a hardly noticeable stream.

Of course now it is a little different.

Usual model in place to give some scale!

this is the way the world ends....

Serious work

I am going soooooo grey!!!
Me on a phone conference a few weeks ago....
You can see - some very serious discussions going on.

Couple of sunrise pics

Here have a sunrise picture or two....

Nerd Shelf

This is my bookshelf
Of course.. it is only part of it, the sun was coming though in the morning and I thought it looked cool.
You would be even more impressed if I had actually read the books!

Solar...

Yes, we have solar panels on our roof....
Really, in some ways they are a little bit pretty.
Maybe it is just me!

sunrise...

little photo I am entering this month....

"Yet, the sun still rises"....

I think this is one of those photos you see after it has been taken.

Maybe just cause I was looking for something different to what everyone else was taking.

You never know what you will end up with!

At one of the local Dams

Which of course now have water in them... which makes the visit much more pleasant.
Lots of just playing around going on.  A very pleasant way to spend some of Easter Monday / ANZAC day..

illumination

topic for the challenge for the photo meeting - illumination.
So here are Izak and Alexander starring as...
"the only people who are handy that I can convince to be models for me!!".

Not quite right

Ever wake up in the morning and think that things are not quite right.
That maybe there is some flaw in the way you are seeing things?

Self awareness..

It was only a few years ago that we thought that the only animals in the world that had self awareness were humans.

We now find out that animals from dolphins through to chimps are able to recognise themselves in the mirror.

BUT... the amazing thing is that crows / ravens and magpies have shown the same awareness... that is a lot of very interesting consciousness packed into a tiny little brain.

So what is the point of this?
The point is, that despite the fact that some of  the people I have dealt with recently appear to have no discernible brain, there is still the possibility that they might, just might still recongnise themselves in the mirror.

Subversive....

There is something a little subversive about taking a very expensive camera and getting a piece of old aluminium can on the front with a pin hole through it to use as a lens...

I am not pretending there is anything artistic in the result...  just a fun little experiment...
